Spring Has Sprung

Today is quite gloomy and rainy, but it's rain that is much needed out here; as the winter was mild and dry. Nevertheless spring is slowly waking up in true prairie style out here at our little homestead.

The wild flowers are blooming...

The bees have been unwrapped, two more hives have been added...

Bees are buzzing and happily feeding on all our dandelions...

I'm itching to be gardening, but know that it's not worth planting anything here until after this coming long weekend...So I will live vicariously through the garden centers and dream in color...

And on the homeschooling front...we are slowly finishing this year and packing away our boxes. I'm also planning for next year, wrapping my head around curriculum for Grade 7 and Grade 9 and Grade 11.

And of course, I'm planning for our summer reading. I hate brain drain, so the most I ask of the kids is reading...good 'ol reading. Thank goodness for Pinterest and some great reading incentive ideas.

Life is just humming along here, as we immerse ourselves in Spring and all the beauty and joys she has to offer. Some days it's just a matter of reviving our weary wintered souls,

" The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also" ~ Harriet Ann Jacobs
