For Today

Outside My Window...it's been your typical Alberta spring. We've had a little bit of everything with sun, rain and even snow. We've been so spoiled by our mild winter that I think some people have forgotten that our spring can be deceiving.

I Am Thankful For...having found a very good naturopath. There are a few health issues that I am dealing with right now, and I've decided to take a proactive natural  route to help myself. So far so good!

I Am Creating...more salves and lip balms. I truly enjoy creating things that are good for me and my family.

I Am Reading... Three Day Road by Canadian novelist Joseph Boyden. It's a novel that tells the fictional story of two Cree men fighting for Canada during WWI. I'm only a few chapters in, but so far I'm enjoying it. I'll be up late tonight trying to read as much as I can before book-club tomorrow night.

I Am Learning...alongside my daughters currently. For nature studies, I downloaded the lesson plans from Herb Fairies . We are learning about every day herbs and plants and different ways of using them in everyday life.

In My Garden...David managed to till the vegetable garden today, and fill the brand new front flower bed that he built, with dirt.. I'm hoping that temperatures don't drop below zero as the have been, so I can start planting and seeding.

In The Homeschool Room...We had our last facilitator visit last week, so we are coasting and finishing off the year with some fun projects. Graduation for my oldest is approaching fast too...some special times ahead in the next few weeks.

A Favorite Quote..."If you must look back, do so forgivingly. If you must look forward, do so prayerfully. However, the wisest thing you can do is be present in the present...Gratefully."~ Maya Angelou

Plans For the Rest of My Week...Piano lessons, planting, book-club, planning curriculum for next year and picking up Devin's suit for his graduation.

Here's A Few Recent Pictures:

I"m linking up with The Simple Woman adding my daybook for today. Have a great week everyone!
