For Today: Simple Woman's Day Book

I might be a little late to the party as per my usual style, but I'm linking up with The Simple Woman Blog to share my day book.

 For today...April 14th

Outside my window...Well...it is raining  snowing right now. This morning was gorgeous and I'm glad I took the time for a nice long walk. Sigh...spring in Alberta.

From this...

...to this...

I am hoping...that the tides will turn soon for us. I have a lot of faith, that this spring will offer us some good news. Happy thoughts and remembering us in you prayers would be greatly appreciated.

I am thankful...for friends who remember me :)

In my garden...I DIDN'T KILL THE RHUBARB PLANTS!!! WHOOHOO!!! Ahem...sorry for my excitement. It is so great to see little shoots popping out through the soil.

I am wondering...if I should add more mayhem into my life by wanting to raise some chickens. I'm also wondering HOW I can convince Dave that we NEED some chickens. I have chicken envy right now as our neighbor down the road just brought home 7 new chicks to raise. The kids are living there now. ;)
Way to adorable!

I am learning...to let go little by little, especially as grade 12 graduation approaches for my oldest son.

In my kitchen...I'm trying to get back to some normalcy now that spring break and Easter indulgence is done. Its time to get back to the basics of meal planning and simple wholesome meals.

In the home school room...We are on the homestretch now. I just set up our final facilitator visit for the year. I've been to this rodeo so many times now, but I still get anxiety attacks thinking we have nothing to show. One day I'll figure it out...one day....

A favorite quote for today..." How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard~ A.A. Milne  I think I will use this some way in Devin's memory book. (cue the lump in my throat now).

What I'm reading...Well it is more like what I just finished reading for book club.

A peak into my days.. Piano lessons, badminton, grad suit shopping, Young Author's Conference and hockey windup party...pretty much sums up my week.

Hope all of you have a great week! Drop me a line and let me know what's going on in your world, and don't forget to read all the other wonderful day book entries at http://thesimplewoman.blogspot.ca/
