April Fool's Daybook

{or at least an attempt}

Outside My Window: Well? The joke is STILL on us Alberta! Snow and more snow. Enough said.

Giving Thanks: To the quiet moments right now before it gets hectic again with soccer and baseball. Its nice not to be rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off, to all of our "activities".

I Am Thinking About: So much. I've been participating in Nurturing Joy and there is just so much to think about and mull around about motherhood...in a good way. What a wonderful retreat put on by these two lovely ladies http://www.elizabethfoss.com/reallearning/ and http://memoriaarts.com/ and all their guests!

In the Schoolroom: I can't believe our school year is almost done. Our year end visit is in 31 days ( and counting). Time to buckle down and set up some short term goals and finish the year off well.

From the Kitchen: Saturday was a sunny day. I find if its warm and cheery, and sunny I'm motivated to cook and bake. Lots of baking happened... ( can you tell I didn't give up sweets for Lent?)

I Am Creating: Not a whole heck of alot. I have all these cute summer sewing projects for the girls waiting for me, but at this rate with winter lingering, maybe I'd better wait just in case they go on a growth spurt.

I Am Hearing: the shuffling of LEGO bricks. hedua.com Has a fun Instagram challenge for April, so I've challenged all four of the kids to participate and I'll post pics on my Instagram.

Around the House: I'm just waiting for spring and some warm weather. I just want to tackle some of the outside "honey-do" list!

A Few Plans for the Week: - Enjoy a nice long visit with my best friend who lives 3 hours away. I'm so lucky she's down in our neck of the woods this week. It will be great to catch up.
- Not have an anxiety attack Friday when I take BOTH boys to talk to their high school counselor about their online classes for September ( AAckkkk...I'll have TWO in high school next year!!!)
