When Devin was in Grade 5, Emilie was 3, Sophie was in Grade 1 and Christian was in Grade 3. Devin decided that he wanted to play elementary volleyball with our school board. Then he decided he wanted to play basketball too. When Christian hit grade 5 it was the same thing; volleyball and then basketball; likewise with Sophie and both sports. Emilie being the youngest, tagged along to all the practices and all of their tourneys, watching and waiting. Then came junior high sports for both boys and now for Sophie ( except this year Sophie missed basketball because of her broken leg) Nevertheless, Emilie tagged along to all the practices.
Then...all of a sudden...this happened!
Somehow her time of watching and waiting is over. It's her time to play and her time to shine.
I'm excited for her, but it's also a bittersweet moment for this momma knowing that her baby is growing up and following in the footsteps of her older siblings. Now its my turn to watch and wait for her as she plays and shows us all, that she's got game!
