Rain, Rain, Go Away...

If anyone has been watching the news, I'm sure many of you are thinking that we've built arcs in Calgary and Southern Alberta. My dad, who has lived in Calgary all his life, has NEVER seen anything like this! The floods and rains of 2005 are nothing compared to this...and apparently its not over!   Here are some links to the news here. http://calgary.ctvnews.ca/  and http://globalnews.ca/calgary/

As for us out at the Ranche, we're safe. Our little creek is roaring away, but the water has not come over the banks.   Our sump pump is working over time, and just in case the power goes out we have our generator in place. We are also stocked up with our emergency supply of water, candles and food. We can only hope and pray for all of those who are seriously affected. Areas around us are not that lucky though. Last night, we took a drive out to Priddis and Millarville to see the happenings out their way. Roads to Black Diamond and Millarville are closed  too.   Here are some pics...and if you have ANY sun? PLEASE send some our way!

Pothole Creek about 1 mile north from us. We're up high so this wont affect us.
