Cook Out

When I was little, my parents always reminisced about how my grandparents and friends would have the occasional cook out. This cook out consisted of good chunks of bacon, thinly sliced onions and some delicious bread...not to mention some great company and even better memories made.  I think, growing up I only participated in one or two of these cookouts, and it might have been with one of my best friends, her parents, and my parents when we'd go hiking.
This Father's Day, we decided to put our fire pit to good use, and have a cook out of our own. Wow! Delicious bacon, home made bread, great company, S'mores for desert...I think...or at least I hope it was a good Father's Day for my dad, and for Dave.

My crew definitely enjoyed themselves! They are already planning for next Father's Day. They've even decided that we should have more of these cookouts on other occasions; not just on Father's Day. And honestly? I don't disagree.. because really...who can resist a good piece of bacon?
