Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

Once upon a time, there was a painfully shy little girl. She dreaded show and tell at school, or opening her mouth in front of strange people or a crowd. Trying new things was sometimes a trial.  Her safe space was her closet, where she could hide away and read books.  As she grew older, she still never felt comfortable in her skin, so to speak, but when she was faced with more challenges in her life, she gained more confidence in her abilities. Even to this day, she'd rather be behind the scenes, and let everyone else shine...like her wonderful children and husband.

So...why am I writing this? Well...I'm taking a deep breath, stepping out of my comfort zone, and heading down a new uncharted path that I'd like to share with all of you. Apparently, homeschooling isn't enough for me ;) so I've decided to pursue some new interests as well.

First, I've decided to become a sales consultant for Usborne Books at Home. If anyone wants to buy wonderful quality childrens' books, you may now order them from me! I've used these books for years with my crew, and I can really stand by these books and tell everyone they are great! Here is their website: www.usbornebooksathome.ca  You can browse through the main catalogue , then either email me or phone me with your wish list. ( order directly from me...not the website)  Easy Peasy!

Secondly, I've decided to make use of my new found love of sewing. I'm by no means an expert seamstress yet, but I've started making headbands for girls of all ages. I've also decided to try my hand at selling them. If you go directly to my blog, click on the top of the page where it says Galleria. You can browse through some of the creations I've made so far for my girls and some other lovely little ladies. Again, if you are interested in purchasing a headband, shoot me and email with head size, and color preference...again easy peasy! As I sew more, I will post them to my "Galleria", so make sure to check back often for more styles and colors.

And how does this story end? Well...hopefully ...and she lived happily ever after even if she did have to step out of her comfort zone :)
