Housekeeping and Hissyfits

By 5:00 tonight, I'm pretty sure I morphed into this:

That's one thing I hate! All the noise, noise, noise, noise!

Why? Well, because what I thought was a good idea, tried my patience to no end.
Fridays lately are our down days. We still do school ( the 3 R's), but the afternoon is usually saved for our creative outlet with Art and Hungarian.
Sticking with this "creative outlet" idea,  I told myself, that Fridays would also be Creative Writing ( just a mere extension of our language arts...no biggy)  We could knock that off our list no problem. I think the writer in me was a little too enthusiastic.
Anyways, after much cajoling, encouraging, and whining, from both mom and kids, we managed to whip together some poems, with the help of thesaures' and rhymimg dictionaries.
"Wonderful, great!" I thought. "What better way to encourage the kids to write, than to tell them I'll make their own page on my blog?" " Their work will be published! Friends and family will enjoy their creative contributions!"
With this idea in my head, I began to create The Poetry Pantry. Everything was going fine, until the computer crashed, and not only did I lose the kids' poetry draft, I also lost the Favorites Link.
NEVERTHELESS, I prevailed! The writer in me is not dead!  So, with great pleasure, I'd like to draw your attention to the side, where you can click onto our "Poetry Pantry". This is just a start, of what I hope will be a regular Friday Feature to our creative Fridays. Enjoy the prose, and feel free to leave comments. We love comments!
One more thing, Christian has a new cartoon posted on his page as well...and when I get the patience, and my "heart grows 2 sizes bigger", I'll repost our favorite links again with some extra flair :)
