Hello sports fans!
Yesterday was a roller coaster ride. It was the Christ the Redeemer School District Junior High (Grade 7/8) volleyball tournament at The Rally Point. Our team The Flight put on quite the impressive show. I have no nails. :) These homeschoolers gave the other school teams a run for their money. The boys had fun, and clinched 1st place in their pool. They were part of the final four, and were medal contenders. In the end, they lost in a heart breaker tie, and ended up 4th. Nonetheless, I'm proud of our boys. They were awesome, and had some amazing plays on the court. These guys had spunk, and determination. While other teams had at least 4/5 substitutes, and weeks to practice, we had only 6 boys, who played the whole day at full capacity and met 2X a week to practice ( for only 6 weeks). I can tell you this, Devin was exhausted, and almost nodded off at dinner time.
We're done for another year of Junior High volleyball , and basket ball season will be upon us at the end of November. Christian is next in line for volleyball. He watched intently yesterday, and cheered his brother and friend on, as they played. Practice has already begun for the elementary team, and their tourney will be sometime in November. I'm looking forward to that, and will keep you all up to date with news about Christian.
Here are a few pictures from the game. Action shots this time :)
