August Daybook: I'm Still Here...Just Enjoying Summer!

Outside My Window: The weather has been phenomenal this summer. We had such a miserable and long winter that I won't complain about the hot weather we've been having. However, a bit of rain is overdue considering there is a fire ban in our area.

Thankful For: 19 Years of marriage. Yesterday we celebrated 19 years! We've had our ups and downs, and we've managed to persevere. Here's to many more years with my fabulous man!

Thinking About: Getting our upcoming year for school organized...key word...thinking about it. There's so much to do and plan, but I'm enjoying the summer with the kids and Dave that I think I'll put planning on hold...at least for another few weeks.

I'm Creating: Knitting projects and sewing projects. I'm thinking I bit off more than I could handle. I registered for the Priddis Christmas Market November 1st ; so that means I'm back into knitting cowls, scarves and sewing headbands. Yikes! I'm nervous!

I'm Listening: To my crew right now panicking because the TV remote has gone missing ;) and yes I'm blogging instead of freaking out with them :)

Around The House: The vegetable garden is growing, and part of Dave's "honey-do" list is to build a mini greenhouse so the squash and zucchini won't freeze at the end of August. Yes, I said frost. Its a different micro-climate where we are, than the city. Living closer to the foothills means the temperature can dip below 0 even at the end of August. I'm really hoping not this year though.

A Few Plans:  Finish off swimming lessons with the girls this week, finish off driver's ed with Devin tomorrow, help everyone get organized for the upcoming Priddis/Millarville Fair, wrap my head around our upcoming camping trip to Scotch Creek, pick peas from the garden, and finally....Enjoy the rest of summer to the fullest!

A pefect sunset last night to end a perfect day.
