Every Thursday on Instagram, there is "Throwback Thursday" I'd like to dedicate this Throwback Thursday to 11 years ago when we started our homeschooling journey. A fitting way to end our school year don't you think?
Devin was beginning grade 1, Christian was attending 2 day preschool, Sophie wasn't even 2 and I was pregnant with Emilie! We were also in the process of selling and moving to our house in Shawnessy. Our now rural life seemed like a very distant goal, that we dreamed about for "one day".
Eleven years have flown by. Yes there have been days I've wished for a due over and a good glass of red wine. Other days have been brilliant. But the main thing is; I've never looked back, and there haven't been any regrets. Well...OK...maybe one HUGE regret...that time has flown way. too. fast.
Its hard to believe, Devin is wrapping up his Grade 11 studies with Saint Paul's Academy Online Learning. Christian just finished grade 9 and the girls completed grade 7 and 5 respectively. I'll have 2 highschoolers next year, with one finishing his homeschooling journey.
I sat in the kitchen this morning filling out our intent to register for this upcoming school year with our school board, and honestly, I caught myself with a lump in my throat! Go figure! I'm like a little kid who is having way to much fun...and I don't want the fun to end...which I know inevitably one day it will. For now though, I'll just enjoy the rest of the ride, and cherish these God given moments with my crew.
