Where has October gone? The month has flown by incredibly fast. I guess it doesn't help that we are quite busy with school, activities, housing, etc. The weather too, has been incredibly gorgeous, so really...it doesn't even feel like the end of October in Calgary.
Friday we had our first facilitator visit for the term. I was a little taken aback, because now that we are considered "traditional", our paper work is supposed to be more anecdotal, then hard core marks, and papers. Wow! What a change! And now? We won't have another visit until Easter! Double Wow! I don't have admin breathing down my back with paperwork! It's quite surreal. I almost feel like a fish out of water. Nevertheless, it's a relaxing change, and Dave hasn't had to pull me off the ceiling because I'm stressed beyond belief. I think I can safely say, that my stress level, and even the kids' stress level pre-visit has drastically dropped. Don't get me wrong, we're still working hard, we're just as busy as before and I'm still trying to be accountable to the Nth degree, but somehow, it's...different...in a good way :)
Halloween is around the corner, and my little goblins are busy planning out their pumpkins and costumes. Value Village is our friend at this time of the year ;) . Originally they weren't going to go "trick-or-treating". Scaring the little kids who came to our door, sounded SO much better this year. BUT... they all decided that this would be the last year, because next year we'll be out in the country...and personally I'm NOT driving into town for candy. Having said that though, my little ghouls are already planning for something BIG out at the Ranche next year ;) Stay tuned for pictures and a post regarding "All Hallows Eve 2011"...it'll be a good one!
On the house front, take a peek at the SUNOKA RANCHE link, the siding is going up! We're just waiting for the first round of inspections, then they'll start with the insulation and drywall ( which will take up to a month) . The builder is expecting that finishing will begin by the first of the month, because the lock box is already on the front door. But alas, they are still saying March for our possession date. I don't know...guess we'll just have to wait. It is the time for thrills and suspense isn't it? ;)
