Today, was our last home visit from our facilitator for the year. Unofficially/officially we're done school. WHOOOHOOOO!!!!! Yes I am doing a dance and clicking my heels.
We still have a few loose ends to tidy up. Those loose ends include preparing Christian for his grade 6 provincial exams in Math and English, and just finishing up a few subjects for everyone else. Easy-peasy lemon squeezy!
Why does my brain hurt? Does anyone remember that feeling of coming out of a final exam with your head as big as a watermelon, after you wrote the final of your life? Homeschooling kind of does that to me.
If anyone knows me, I get a bit...ahem...shall we say anxious...with my visits. I find homeschooling to be a challenge; a WONDERFUL challenge no less. I love to challenge the children and myself. I can't back down from a challenge, but by the end of the year, when all the books are packed away, and the portfolios are all tucked inside bankers boxes, by brain hurts, and I could sleep for a month! Go figure.
Now... as I end this post, WHY am I humming Alice Cooper's School's Out for Summer?
