Junior High Basketball Highlights

Good evening sports fans!
Today we braved -18 and flurries, to play in the Grade 7/8 Christ the Redeemer Basketball Tournament, in Strathmore.
What an exciting day! We played our 1st game at 11ish, against Notre Dame (High River). We won this round, by a score of 44-23.  We patiently waited for almost 2 1/2 hours for our next game against John Paul II Collegiate, and we lost that game. Unfortunately, I don't remember the score, but I will vehemently attest to the fact , that it wasn't a blow out.
Our boys played exceptionally well today! The crowd (moms) were cheering on these boys loudly, who were and are, truly superstars in our eyes (as usual).  I am happy to brag, that Christian scored a basket, with Devin, assisting. There are no pictures with him scoring, because just as Christian scored, Emilie came up to me excitedly, with a tooth in hand, which she had just lost as the ball went into the basket.
It was such a treat to watch the brothers play together, and play with a great group of boys. Next year with both of them in Junior High, and most of the team, hopefully coming back, I predict we'll have an awesome year.
Christian is more than eager, to play in the grade 5/6 basketball tournament, coming up in a month. Today, and the last 2 months of practice with the older boys,  was a wonderful learning experience for him. He has grown in confidence, and skills.
