A Tale of Two Nicholas'

This weekend was very busy for us. We were very fortunate to be apart of 2 very special occasions. One being the beginning of a journey in faith, and the other, a continuation of faith.

Saturday, Crystal and Daniel's little man Nicholas was baptized at Saint Micheal's Church. Of course, Uncle Dave and Aunty Andrea forgot the camera, so there are no pictures of this happy occasion. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful evening.

Yesterday, was Christian's Confirmation at our church, Saint Patrick's, with Bishop Henry saying mass. For the Sunday mass alone, there were 93 kids confirmed. Saturday night, there were another 90 confirmed. This year was a big group.  Christian's sponsor was Daniel, and he chose the name Nicholas, as his patron saint.
I never understood why he picked this particular saint, but really, it suits his personality. Christian is very sensitive to other's needs, and he has a gentle heart. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
This too was a lovely celebration. After church, we all gathered back at our place, and had the usual Keenan feast. It was wonderful to have all the family, and some friends be apart of this very special day.
Here are a few pictures from last night. Enjoy!

We were lucky to even get one of our parish priests to drop by. Thankyou Father Peter.
Ahh yes...I think a few of you can figure this one out...a true Keenan.
