Elementary (grade 5/6) volleyball wrapped up today with the annual tournament in snowy Okotoks . Rough highway conditions could not keep the CFL Flight team away from playing their best, against other elementary schools from Okotoks, Canmore and High River. Despite their enthusiastic effort, our team lost every game.
Dave was on driving duty and cheering duty today, so the pictures are courtesy of him. I managed to keep his blackberry buzzing, as he updated me and the other 3 kids with scores and play by plays. We were with Christian in spirit today. :)
This was Christian's first year playing a school sport for elementary, so he was pretty excited. He played with a great bunch of kids. Once again, these kids had only 6 weeks (if that) to practice, just once a week. They did great! Dave said, that no matter how rough it got out there, Christian had a smile on his face for the most part. This was just the warm up for next year, when he can join Devin for volleyball in Junior High.
