The Kid Did Alright!

This year for hockey, the boys team does not have a regular, full time goalie. All the kids need to rotate...or as they call it...draw straws for who'll be the "lucky one". (Sorta reminds me of that scene in Hunger Games when they have to "volunteer" as a Tribute?) No...just kidding...it's not that bad.
Anyhow...Devin volunteered (to be a tribute...just kidding) to be goalie for their last game. He has NEVER in his life...I repeat...NEVER in his life played goalie...wanted to play goalie...thought of ever being a goalie. I really don't know what possessed him to do it! Nevertheless, he did well!

Now? He'll be goalie again for this weekend's upcoming game, and some of the kids voted that he continue to be goalie. His thoughts? He prefers playing out...but will step up and help the team out when needed to be a tribute...no...I mean a goalie!
