What's Up At The Ranche

I look at the following picture which was taken yesterday afternoon, and can't even fathom the thought, that this past weekend we were getting the vegetable garden ready for this coming season!  Don't you just love Alberta spring weather?

This past weekend, Dave finally pulled out the old disc harrow which was sitting in our back pasture for the last 30+ years. With a little ingenuity, and a bit of MacGyvering, he attached it to our tractor. We were able to prepare the soil and expand the garden by another 5 feet or so. We also added all the ash from the big bonfire that took place a few weekends ago. Hopefully, IF the weather cooperates, we can use the disc harrow again maybe next weekend, and loosen up the soil again now that it's been packed down again with snow. IF the weather stays on our side, I'm hoping to have seeds in by the long weekend? I hope?
