Well the first day of spring may have happened in your neck of the woods, but not here at the Ranche. We still have snow, and quite a lot of it I might add. But enough of my griping about the dreaded weather.
We managed to bundle up today, and head out on a nature walk around the acreage. Here's what we saw:
 |
| Common Gold Speck Lichen, Green Beard Lichen, Foamy Lichen |
These are all different types of lichen and moss...right in our own backyard. I know, I know...so what, but really, it was quite interesting looking at it and researching about it. Sometimes its the little things that count in your day.
We have some new visitors in the area as well:
 |
| Pine Gross Beak |
Pretty isn't it?
I look forward to Fridays. Not because its the end of the week, but because we can take the time to just breath and enjoy the little things out here at the Ranche. Here are a few more shots from today...Enjoy!
