Art Studies...

This semester, I've decided to revive our art time on every second Friday. I'm doing things a little bit differently. We aren't just drawing, but we are doing more analysis and learning how to critique art...all types of art. 
I rummaged around on my shelves, and found these two books, that I am basing our lessons on.

Not only, are the children learning about how to classify and critique art, they are learning about the different historical  art periods, the artists of the times, and they are trying out the different techniques of the artists.
We've only had two sessions, but the kids are having fun, and have a renewed interest in Art.
