Today's post is brought to you by:
...another snowy day.
This week, I've made the effort of just hunkering down, not going anywhere. Last week was pretty hectic, and it knocked the wind out of our sails this week. The girls have had a cold, and I just haven't had the energy to go anywhere. The snow just began today, so its not like we've been stuck out here in the stix because of the weather. It's just been "one of those weeks".
Anyhooo...Lately I've been having these Martha Stewart moments, and have the urge to get crafty and domestic. (I guess I have Pinterest to thank for that) . Today with the snow, was one of those days. I found this simple craft : Snowflakes and thought I'd give it a try with my girls.
In retrospect, things I would do differently? Glitter...I would add glitter to these ornaments. A girl just can't have enough glitter in her life...even sewing sequins on would make it a little fancier. I also like how Sophie stitched around her snowflake. Not only can these be ornaments, but I'm thinking they would make cute winter themed coasters if you used a thicker felt? Just a thought. Any other suggestions out there? What do you all think?
I have a few more patterns and ideas kicking around in my head, so stay tuned for some more crafty moments .
