Last week, with 3 out of 4 kids with colds, and wintry weather, I shut things down around here. I hunkered down, stepped back, and just remembered "to breath". Life can get a bit crazy around here, so sometimes, its just best to remove ourselves from everything, and just...be. Besides doing the academics at home, we really didn't do a whole heck of a lot. Personally I LOVED it....Like a mini retreat.
Feeling a little more rejuvenated and "sane", I re-emerged just in time for my big boy's birthday. This week, was business as usual with all our busy-ness, and I managed to take a few pictures of the randomness of our week.

| For Devin's birthday, we went 5 pin bowling. In the 2nd game, we all broke 100. |
| In the 1st game, the birthday boy whupped us all good! |
Devin took a CPR class that is now required to pass High School Phys. Ed. He passed! |
| They're baaaaack! The twins Bingo and Banjo are back wandering our neighborhood...now without their mom. |
| Its amazing what a few months can do. This guy is BIG! |
| The girls had a homeschooler's day at Heritage Park yesterday morning. Emilie wasn't too impressed because they didn't talk about pioneers. They learnt about the Great Depression which was up Sophie's alley. |
| We've ended the week on a musical note. Sophie and the older girls had a blast. They're repertoire was great to listen to. ( 2 guitars, one mandolin, and a ukulele). Can't wait to hear them next month at our next "jam session". |
