Finally...Its Done!

I read many blogs where moms show off ALL the knitting they do. Honestly, I don't know where and how they find the time.
I learnt how to knit last fall. A friend of mine, and myself decided to take some basic knitting classes at Micheal's. I was the student, that showed others what NOT to do? Our teacher was a very patient lady, but I was making up my own stitches as I went along, and I was making her work ;)
Nevertheless, I did learn your basic knitting stitches  but I am definitely not a master, or by any means proficient yet. I still can't multi-task with knitting like some people do...in fact don't even talk to me while I knit, because I'll just end up increasing or decreasing stitches when I'm not supposed to. I'll even add stitches that apparently have a name, that only I invent myself!

This picture below is my very first project that I FINALLY finished. It was lost in the move last fall, but needles and yarn were found in a box...and I'm no sure what to call it...
I had every intention on it being a very very long scarf, but I chickened out, because life got in the way, and I didn't have absolute peace and quiet, and...well the excuses could continue for another post...really. Oh...and for the record, and did not drop stitches!!!

Anyways..what do y'all think? The wool is super cozy warm and oh so soft...and the color looks prettier in person. I truly hope that Sophie will use it when it's super cold outside.

I"m not sure if she is happy...but she said she was going for the ambivalent "model look" for the camera.

  1. Well done! Better late than never... right? You've inspired me to finish Johanna's scarf. She's only been waiting 10 months for it.
