Zoo Day

With the weather being hot, and June being a write off because of the rains, we decided to head to the zoo, this past Monday. In my absolute brilliance, I forgot that 32 degrees is WAAAYYYY to hot to be walking around the zoo, let alone inviting our friends to join us in the scorching heat ;)
Nonetheless, we had a blast. Our favorite exhibit? Can you guess? Hands down it had to be the penguins. Not only are they just so darn cute and silly, the building was nice... and... cool.
The other animals in the zoo were pretty comatose from the heat,  or trying to seek some type of shade, so we didn't see too many. We took refuge in the Canadian Wilds, where the big trees sheltered us from the heat as well.
When we got back to the truck at the end of the day, the temperature gauge that measures the outside temperature measured 44 degrees!!! That's just insane!!

Feeding time!

This guy was my fave

Checking out the penguins under water

This is about as close to a grizzly that Judi and I will EVER have our kids get!

We love Aslan
