Wednesday Wanderings...A Day Late

It seems as if we are making, or at least I'm trying to make a habit of getting out of the house Wednesday afternoons when things are a little slower. Hopefully with the improvement of the weather, we will be able to get out more often, and cruise "the back yard" a little more.
Yesterday, we managed to get out for a little while before the thunder and rain chased us back into the house. It's still dull and yellow, but the melt is on, and our little stream is flowing, and the ice is gone completely in our "little pond". We saw a rough grouse, that Bailey managed to chase out of the willows, but alas no pictures of the bird, because we needed to chase down the dog. Here are a few other pictures of our wanderings though...Enjoy!

Our south side neighbor's pasture

They pussy willows are trying their hardest to peek out!

Checking the stream depth...not too deep...

Our little pond hide-a- way.

Yup...we have nature journals ;)

See those bubbles in the middle of the picture? Or the big white splotch? We've done our research...believe it or not...those are frog eggs!!!Really!!
