Pottery Classes

This afternoon, we braved the frigid temperatures, and headed to Okotoks for pottery classes. Yup, I'm a crazy homeschooler who laughs in the face of old man winter! HAHAHA!!!
A while ago, I signed up Emilie and the boys through our school board for 2 classes at Paint It Up Pottery Studio . Sophie has guitar lessons Monday afternoons, so unfortunately she couldn't join the fun. Nevertheless, she gets to do the cake decorating classes at Kulinary Kids in March. I think its a nice trade off.
From the looks of what I saw, I might have a few "pinch pot" clay frogs and beavers for the new place. They got down and dirty today with the clay, AND they had the chance to use a pottery wheel. How cool is that?
Next week, after the initial clay firing, they'll paint their creations, and we'll get to pick them up in 2 weeks time.
Here are a few pictures from their fun afternoon. Enjoy, because I know they enjoyed themselves :)
