Girls Day Out

Every year, for about the last 4 or 5 years, I've tried to have a "Not Back to School" Boys and Girls Day out. It gives the boys and I an opportunity to talk and share, on their day, and same with the girls on their day. PLUS with the "Not Back To School" shopping it's easier to look at things for the separate genders and not get all confused ( for at least mom).

Yesterday was "boys day out", so we hit Chinook Mall, bought a few needed clothes, and hit the LEGO store...of course. The boys oh so generously bought their favourite mom lunch as well. Of course...no pictures.

Today was "girls day out". I treated the girls and myself to pedicures, then we hit the mall for lunch and a bit of shopping. This is the first time the girls have had "the spa treatment", so I took a few pics. I'm not sure they understand WHY I love to get treated to any spa. But I figure when they get older, they'll appreciate the "relaxing atmosphere".

I just had fun both days with my kids. Boys are different than girls, and it's nice to share and be apart of both worlds. It was a chance to just hang out before all the mayhem and bedlam begin after our holidays next week.

Ready for the wedding in Vernon this weekend!
