Kamping with the Keenan's- Rainy Morning Edition

We woke up to rain today, so I thought I would post a quick note about our adventures state side.
We've been in Idaho since the 9th. We stayed in Couer d'Alene for Chrisitan's birthday. To celebrate the big 12, we treated the birthday boy and ourselves to Silverwood theme and waterpark. We definitely got our money's worth, by riding on all the crazy rides, and spending a gorgeous afternoon at the waterpark. We didn't get back from Silverwood till late, and everyone crashed as soon as they got in the trailer. The only problem with this trip to Silverwood: 1. The kids will never look at Calaway Park the same way again. 2. We just raised the bar for birthday celebrations. I have this amazing video of Christian, Devin, and Dave riding on a ride called the Panic Plunge. It is a 140 foot drop tower! ...but you will have to wait until next week to see my crazy guys on this ride.

As the kids are basking in the afterglow of Silverwood, we are now camping in Heyburn State Park. This park is at the southern end of Lake Couer d'Alene, and is the oldest park
in the Pacific Northwest. It is much like Bow Valley Provincial Park. As I finish up this quick journal, there is promise of sunshine, so we might go for a bike ride on the Trail of the Couer d'Alenes. Until next time...:)
