A Mixed Bag for the Weekend

We started the weekend off, with the kids' piano recital, at 9:30 am Saturday. A little too early for some people in this house, nevertheless it was still a great way to start our day! The kids did a wonderful job performing. It certainly brightened up what seemed to be the start of another gloomy, rainy weekend.

Fast forward, a few hours later. While Dave went to help move furniture, the kids and I headed to Fish Creek Park, for Creekfest. Someone up there must 've been impressed with the piano performances, because the skies cleared, and we had a gorgeous afternoon. We walked around, took in all the exhibits, and learned quite alot about the conservation programs and nature stewardship programs offered by The Friends of Fishcreek, and the City of Calgary.
What a mixed combo for the weekend :) A little bit of music and nature...you could almost hear Vivaldi's "Season's" playing in the background....OK maybe not :)
