I'm sure that got every one's attention :) It's "Hello" in Bhutanese.
Last night, we got together with some good friends, and had our 1st "pen pal" writing club. The Keenan clan, along with about 6 other homeschooling families, are writing letters to a class in Bhutan.
A good friend of mine (Judi) has friends , who are world trekker teachers. Their adventures this time, have taken them to Bhutan. All the families involved in this wonderful adventure, thought it would be a great way to do some Language Arts, Social and Geography, with this little club, in a casual, fun setting. Last night, we read out loud some letters that were already received, and experimented with some new flavours of food. A fun night was had by all. I don't have many pictures, but from what I have, you can tell dinner was a hit!
I'm excited about this "club". Here's hoping that it can morph into a wonderful writing club! I know my kids are pumped!
