Celebrating the Easter Season

As we all get back into the groove of everyday activities, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Despite nursing a few stuffy noses, and coughs,  we managed to get to all the masses, without a hitch. The weekend itself was nice and quiet, and reflective.

Saturday, amidst cleaning, and getting ready for Sunday, the kids managed to blow out their eggs for coloring. After all these years, where Dave's efforts have been needed, it's nice to know the kids can take over, and blow out their eggs. I'm not sure, yet what to do with these eggs. I'm thinking something arsty, but I might just added the shells to my garden. We'll see how motivated I get in the next few days.

Sunday, was beautiful! We basked in +15 degrees. After a wonderful lunch with my parents, we sat out...YES sat outside...and relaxed for a few hours. The kids had enough energy to burn, after all their Easter treats, that they setup the badminton/volleyball net, and played out in the field.  The day was GORGEOUS!  Ever the optimist, I suggested later, we take a trip out to the acreage. However, I think, we'll see a very late spring out there. Here I was hoping for pussy willows, and maybe just a little greenery. Heck no! Nothing of the sort. Just snow, BIG puddles and mud. We didn't get a chance to get out of the truck, but if this beautiful weather continues...maybe soon, we can take a few more day trips out there.

Here are a few pictures from our weekend. Enjoy! And yes, the girls are almost wearing summer dresses and the boys short sleeves, without jackets...whoohoo for our 1 day of spring!

Alot of hot air!

Everything is still Calgary brown ( that's my new Crayola color)

Despite red noses and sniffles, this picture turned out pretty good!
