Saturday afternoon the boys participated in the annual Alberta Choralfest with their choir; The Westside Children's Senior Choir. The girls' performance was in the morning with the junior choir, but they missed it, because Emilie made her first Reconciliation at St. Patrick's.
The following quote, is from the kids' choir director, Jean Csaja. This was in our inbox yesterday morning, for all the choristers:
"Belonging to a choir is an extraordinary experience. Choristers develop their own musical skills and abilities while being a member of a team with a common purpose. A significant goal was accomplished yesterday by the Westside Junior and Senior Children's Choirs as they reached the highest level of achievement and received ratings of "Superior" and were awarded gold certificates.
Both choirs were recognized by the evaluators for their beautiful tone, clarity of pitch, exquisite phrasing, and sensitivity to text. Overall, the choirs were praised for their stunning performances."

Meanwhile, last night, was Sophie's guitar debut. After a few cancellations, her guitar teacher finally had a guitar recital. Not to be biased or anything, because Sophie's my daughter and all, but she was awesome! It's so fun to watch her, and listen to her play. She truly loves to play guitar.
Here is her premiere: See for yourself! Enjoy the show :)
