Well, I can honestly say, it's been a VERY busy and eventful week for us.
The 1st Sunday of Advent, we were asked to light the 10:45 mass candle for the wreath. It was actually quite amusing, and the priest had a hard time keeping a straight face. The candle kept going out, and Dave had to keep lighting it, during the priest's opening prayers. The kids and I got a case of the giggles while this was going on. I think people thought we were heathens! So this is how our week started off :)
Now, most of you know, that Tuesday was my birthday, and what a day its was! We had our first facilitator visit of the year...which I hope (like I hope every year) that it went well. I can relax a bit now, and just enjoy the next 3 weeks. This is the time of year, that I enjoy "unschooling". We still do "school", but there is so much more to learn and do with the Christmas season that I just like to sit back, and let things happen.
Wednesday, was a busy day for Dave. We're all excited for him, and it is going to take all of us awhile to get "back to normal", or back to "pre-dad" at home. :)
So...the above was just an interlude, to yet another BIG announcement, which we've been holding off on.... I've been itching to tell everyone, but I haven't wanted to jinx anything.
NO we ARE NOT expecting....GOTCHA :)
BUT....we bought 4.5 acres close to Millarville ( 20 minutes SW of us, on Priddis Vally Road). We went to the realtor's office on my birthday, and signed off on all the conditions, and we get title January 7th. We're hoping to break ground late winter/early spring. This is an amazing dream come true for us, as many of you are well aware. It's been a long time coming . We are all very excited, and the kids already have their own plans for the new place ( including a hockey/skating rink). As the months go on, I'll be letting everyone know, how things are going. And there will be NO EXCUSES for not coming to visit us at the new Keenan Kasa :)
There you have it; my weekly wrap up. I don't know how much more exciting news I can blog about!
