We're Having TOO Much Fun!

In all my years, I never thought Science would EVER be fun. I was always the one who read stories and novels, hours upon hours, and I loved to write, and learn about history...but Science....forget it. Homeschooling has lead me down interesting paths, and one thing for sure, it has lead me to confront my demons...Math being one of them, and Science being another. I've come to the conclusion, that so far, at least Science, can actually be fun and interesting. ( I'm still convincing myself the same thing about Junior High Math :))

This year, I thought I'd shake things up a bit with Science. Devin is continuing to work independently and successfully with his Science curriculum (Exploring Creation with Physical Science by Dr. J.Wile). The other three started The Young Explorers Series - Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology, written by the same group as Devin's books. I never thought the human body, or cells, or anything with anatomy could be so much fun! We made an edible cell after learning about the cell and it's functions. Forget the kids, but I now have figured out cells! It's amazing how Jello, M&M's, Skittles, fruit roll ups and pull and peels can make anyone understand the anatomy of a cell. Plus, we had a great desert for dinner :).

The Final Product with all it's parts...YUM!
