Summer Reading "Extras"

Dave's truck is fully equipped with what I call the big screen movie experience. We also have it hooked up in the front, so that whoever has to sit in the middle has a chance to watch the movies as well.( Hmmm...do you remember the time when we had to stare endlessly out the window and look at the scenery...and walk 100 miles backward uphill to school....) This year, I thought I'd try something a little different because the kids couldn't really agree on which movie to watch in what order. Anyways...books on CD from the library. We found three gems from the library, that are a bit nutty and off the wall. The author is M.T. Anderson. He has other books, but the kids ( and mom and dad) found these ones, so far, highly entertaining. Here's a link to the author's website which has a synopsis of his books.

The three we have listened to are Whales on Stilts, The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen, and Jasper Dash and the Flame pits of Delaware. See what you think, and happy listening/reading.
